Fancy Little Snow

We finally got *snow*! 

My fingers, toes, and nose are crossed that it's enough to cancel school tomorrow. {I love my job but I absolutely double love snow days on the farm especially with my favorite little handsome. }And BIG handsome-can't forget him.

Cole and I went out early and played. The cows as always were quiet intrigued with our craziness and lout fits of laughter. 

Once Mr. Moon got going, Cole and I tagged along to help feed cattle. There is never a dull moment with this handsome man.

I love seeing these beautiful money makers all nice and plump.

They were just as intrigued with the pretty powder as we were running and stomping oh my! 

Cole and I plan on lots of snuggles today-just not in the cold, dirty, feed truck. 

My favorite snow day happenings happen upstairs in my little craft suite. 

I've been busing organizing and finishing projects that I started long ago. 

I sure hope I'm not the only one with a running craft list, but I did scratch one off my list!

Fancy Weekends are my Favorite

This weekend was just perfect. It was so wonderful to be home and catch up on little projects and my favorite two tv shows {Fixer Upper and The Pionner Woman}. 

Saturday's on the farm usually mean a full day of farm chores for Jase so I try and catch up on my house chores as well. I try to wash all the bedding, catch up on the laundry, and grocery shop. 

Saturday morning I was tidying up my craft area and decided to make a little wreath using items that I already had. 

 

Love simple little projects that turn out better than you expect.

Saturday night Jase had a lot of feeding to do so Cole and I joined him.

I couldn't help to snap this picture and smile. I think my heart burst a little watching my two favorite handsomes bond over farm chores. I can't get very close to the cows or I start to make friends and fall in love with them, then I battle if I should be a vegetarian and Jase can't have that, so he prefers I stay in the truck. 

This picture is one of my very favorites of the weekend. I really wish I would have captured it on my big camera and not my silly phone. Cole was enjoying flying his kite on the hay bales. 

Sunday we had family pictures with my Dad's side of the family and this picture just might be the best. Cole was a wild man and I'm so thankful my sister in law was taking the pictures because anyone else might have lost their mind. Cole and I filled time just snapping pictures on the back of a truck because at one point he was throwing rocks. Agh!

Fancy Honey Puppy Edition

I'm sure y'all {said in my wanna be southern twang} know by now that not all farm stories are entirely fancy or fabulous, but I promise this one has a super sweet ending.

Our sweet basset Miss Butter or as Cole called her, Butter Girl; prounounced " "Budta Gowl" passed away a couple months ago. Jason came in from feeding cattle this with tears in his eyes and told me that Butter had gotten ran over. {if you know Mr. Moon you know he doesn't cry so I knew whatever had happened was a big deal} My heart broke, I cried and cried all day. I never wanted to be a crazy dog lady but I had waited and waited forever for such a sweet puppy that filled all of our family wants. Cole would ask over and over for her and that broke my heart even more. 

After Cole's birthday in March I started researching different breeders here in Missouri and found the most precious puppy that had a heart shaped print on her forehead. It was definitely love at first sight if you will. (Pun intended) We took a quick trip west and picked up our Honey Moon.

After a few months have gone by I have learned to love Honey through her lazy laying in flower beds and her random chewing sprees. Despite her naughty shenanigans this dog is oh so sweet to Cole and that's exactly what we were looking for. 

The first thing C asks for when he wakes in the morning is his Honey girl. No matter where we are on the farm Honey is near by, even if she's belly up to the sun perfecting her fancy napping skills. 

Fancy Book Club- Pioneer Woman Party

My best friend Kim started a bookclub. Each month a person in the group chooses the book and hosts our group. 

This month was my turn. I LOVE to host fancy little parties. This party was so fun! 

Lots of good Pionner Woman food and laughs. The book I chose was her love story Black Heels to Tractor Wheels. {I swear the story reminds me of Jase and I and everyone else thought so too.}Tiny town farm life was not what I had invisioned but boy oh boy 

my big ole' pink puffy heart has never ever been happier.

The menu was pretty simple. We had Revved up Queso, Milky Way cake, and chocolate covered strawberries. It was very good and inspired by Ree.

The start of the icing for my new favorite dessert is 3 Milky Way bars and a stick of butter; can you say...the BEST!

Around our house we like a little fancy with a lot of country. Mason jars and festive paper straws are always a good idea. 

The cutest little etsy shop made these sunglower earings for our group. Gifts and gift giving is a definite love language of mine. What better way than to start February with a little surprise treat. 

Fancy Halloween Happiness

Happy Halloween!!!

I'm so excited to be home with my *sweet treat* today after a long night of parent teacher conferences. Once I got home I was ready to start decorating for our very 1st annual BOO Breakfast. 

While my sweet boy slept soundly, the farmhouse was filled with lots of pUmPkIn cHeEr.

I will be quite honest and say I was quite exhausted and ready to sleep soundly myself so nothing over the top this time just lots of fun festive flair.

I am a pUmPkIn lover and any reason to celebrate...I'm always in.

One Momma who inspires me so much is a sweet blogging friend Jessica. I have loved her blog for many years {way before Cole was even a thought} I loved that she celebrated every holiday with her littles and has such a kind and giving heart. She also inspired me with her one of a kind fabulous style. She is absolutely so kind, precious, and creative.

              {She even created the sweetest hat for Cole's 1st birthday. Such a sweet treasure.}

This week I pulled up to the mailbox and had a boo treat that was shipped to me. I had no idea who it was from. I opened it, and it was filled with the sweetest treasures. 

I LOVE HAPPY MAIL and SWEET surprises...who doesn't?!

The sweetest treats from the sweetest friend. I am so blessed. 

I'm telling you her heart is filled with gold glitter! She's seriously amazing. Thank you sweet Jessica.

She definitely put a huge smile on my face and warmed my heart more than she knows.

How precious are these? Boo Breakfast was so fun with the little touches. What made this so wonderful was that right when Cole woke up and saw the decorations he said, " So pretty Mommy" "Happy Birtnday Pumpkins"! His excitement warms my heart and makes me so thankful for this wonderful life and tiny special memories that I get to share with him.

In other BOO news Cole attempted to carve his first pumpkin this week with my Momma. He did not like the yucky stuff inside {he gets it from his Momma}

Our church also had Trunk  or Treat this week which was SOOO much fun. Cole has been puppy obsessed and I can't think of a cuter puppy.

Fancy Little Birthday Weekend

After I busted out of school Friday afternoon the boys took me out to dinner to ring in turning *26* We went to my favorite little mexi restaurant that has the most delicious cheese dip and fish tacos. Mmmm

Jason HATES when girls wear their hair bands like this; but I think its precious so this was the {1} night he didn't say a word. Jason told me I was too pale to play Pochantas last Christmas so my SIL and I always play along with the trend whenever we get the chance because her Jason hates it too. {BOO}

{So basically any chance we get; we highlight our honest ability to be super glamourous} 

I can't wait to pick these beauties up this weekend on our way out of town! I'm absolutely in love with the embroidery and again Mr. Moon despises them BUT the birthday girls gets her way this time.

These were some of the birthday pretties I received last week. I swear working at an elementary school and having a birthday makes you feel like a total celebrity. I LOVE ALL the PINK!!!

My MIL is crazy texted me all day Friday little clues, hints, and riddles about what my gift was. I had NOOOO idea what it was and low and behold this little beauty is on it's way to me.

I am OUT of my mind excited. My SIL and I were shopping this summer and I fell in love with it. Unfortunately, I knew Mr. Moon would not be so thrilled to see another purse  come home with me so I passed. I secretly hoped Jase would realize how much I wanted it and he did. TOTAL SURPRISE! 

It's our office tradition to bring in birthday treats on someones birthday. I love this! My request was *girlie food* I love soups, dips, and little sandwiches. My favorite! I am truly blessed to work with the best. Not pictured are my three favorite desserts; eclair cake, homemade pumpkin pie, and counselor candy. 

Fancy Fall Favorites

It's no secret that I big pink puffy heart LOVE Fall. And you all know I also love me some clean spaces. After some major purging I have so enjoyed decorating with some true, simple, clean favorites. 

I have discovered that I LOVE white. White really seems so clean and it may be my favorite color to decorate with. I still love color {neutrals and glitter} and anything tacky fabulous. 

Some major fall favorites are this cute little cookie jar from WalMart that was less than $10 and my favorite candle that is layered with three yummy clean scents.

Pumpkin playdough is at the top of my favorites right now because Cole never enjoys sitting and this little activity has him mesmerized for minutes on end, it also smells so yummy too.

Pumpkin Play Dough

1 cup white flour

1/4 cup salt

2 teaspoons food coloring

1 cup water

1 tablespoon vegetable oil

2 tablespoons cream of tartar

sprinkles of cinnamon, apple pie spice, pumpkin pie spice or whatever your *fancy* heart desires.

1. Mix flour, salt, and cream of tartar in a medium pot.

2. Add water, food coloring, and oil.

Stir over medium heat for 3-5 minutes. Don't worry if the mixture looks like a blobby mess; it'll turn into dough...promise!

When the mixture forms a ball in the center of the pot, turn off the stove and let it cool. Then take it out of the pot and put it on a floured surface. Squish it and punch it around a bit.

When you're done, put it in a plastic bag or airtight container to store.

I just love those little working hands.

I woke up this morning to some birthday presents  in bed and this mason jar measuring cup was at the top of my list. I have wanted this for a LONNNNG time. { This also proves that Mr. Moon does hear me...hehe}

How precious is this clutch?! The special service students at school have a precious little store and sell their merchandise in their classroom. I love the ruffles and burlap. It's definitely going to be a favorite for sure.
