Fancy Halloween Happiness

Happy Halloween!!!

I'm so excited to be home with my *sweet treat* today after a long night of parent teacher conferences. Once I got home I was ready to start decorating for our very 1st annual BOO Breakfast.

While my sweet boy slept soundly, the farmhouse was filled with lots of pUmPkIn cHeEr.

I will be quite honest and say I was quite exhausted and ready to sleep soundly myself so nothing over the top this time just lots of fun festive flair.

I am a pUmPkIn lover and any reason to celebrate...I'm always in.

One Momma who inspires me so much is a sweet blogging friend Jessica. I have loved her blog for many years {way before Cole was even a thought} I loved that she celebrated every holiday with her littles and has such a kind and giving heart. She also inspired me with her one of a kind fabulous style. She is absolutely so kind, precious, and creative.

              {She even created the sweetest hat for Cole's 1st birthday. Such a sweet treasure.}

This week I pulled up to the mailbox and had a boo treat that was shipped to me. I had no idea who it was from. I opened it, and it was filled with the sweetest treasures.

I LOVE HAPPY MAIL and SWEET surprises...who doesn't?!
The sweetest treats from the sweetest friend. I am so blessed.

I'm telling you her heart is filled with gold glitter! She's seriously amazing. Thank you sweet Jessica.

She definitely put a huge smile on my face and warmed my heart more than she knows.

How precious are these? Boo Breakfast was so fun with the little touches. What made this so wonderful was that right when Cole woke up and saw the decorations he said, " So pretty Mommy" "Happy Birtnday Pumpkins"! His excitement warms my heart and makes me so thankful for this wonderful life and tiny special memories that I get to share with him.

In other BOO news Cole attempted to carve his first pumpkin this week with my Momma. He did not like the yucky stuff inside {he gets it from his Momma}

Our church also had Trunk  or Treat this week which was SOOO much fun. Cole has been puppy obsessed and I can't think of a cuter puppy.

Hope your Halloween is filled with lots of happy treats.

Fancy Little Birthday Weekend

After I busted out of school Friday afternoon the boys took me out to dinner to ring in turning *26* We went to my favorite little mexi restaurant that has the most delicious cheese dip and fish tacos. Mmmm

Jason HATES when girls wear their hair bands like this; but I think its precious so this was the {1} night he didn't say a word. Jason told me I was too pale to play Pochantas last Christmas so my SIL and I always play along with the trend whenever we get the chance because her Jason hates it too. {BOO}

{So basically any chance we get; we highlight our honest ability to be super glamourous}

I can't wait to pick these beauties up this weekend on our way out of town! I'm absolutely in love with the embroidery and again Mr. Moon despises them BUT the birthday girls gets her way this time.

These were some of the birthday pretties I received last week. I swear working at an elementary school and having a birthday makes you feel like a total celebrity. I LOVE ALL the PINK!!!

My MIL is crazy texted me all day Friday little clues, hints, and riddles about what my gift was. I had NOOOO idea what it was and low and behold this little beauty is on it's way to me.

{The Micheal Kors cowhide cross body! I'm in LOVE!}

I am OUT of my mind excited. My SIL and I were shopping this summer and I fell in love with it. Unfortunately, I knew Mr. Moon would not be so thrilled to see another purse  come home with me so I passed. I secretly hoped Jase would realize how much I wanted it and he did. TOTAL SURPRISE!

It's our office tradition to bring in birthday treats on someones birthday. I love this! My request was *girlie food* I love soups, dips, and little sandwiches. My favorite! I am truly blessed to work with the best. Not pictured are my three favorite desserts; eclair cake, homemade pumpkin pie, and counselor candy.

Fancy Fall Favorites

It's no secret that I big pink puffy heart LOVE Fall. And you all know I also love me some clean spaces. After some major purging I have so enjoyed decorating with some true, simple, clean favorites.

I have discovered that I LOVE white. White really seems so clean and it may be my favorite color to decorate with. I still love color {neutrals and glitter} and anything tacky fabulous.

Some major fall favorites are this cute little cookie jar from WalMart that was less than $10 and my favorite candle that is layered with three yummy clean scents.

Pumpkin playdough is at the top of my favorites right now because Cole never enjoys sitting and this little activity has him mesmerized for minutes on end, it also smells so yummy too.

Pumpkin Play Dough

1 cup white flour
1/4 cup salt
2 teaspoons food coloring
1 cup water
1 tablespoon vegetable oil
2 tablespoons cream of tartar
sprinkles of cinnamon, apple pie spice, pumpkin pie spice or whatever your *fancy* heart desires.

1. Mix flour, salt, and cream of tartar in a medium pot.
2. Add water, food coloring, and oil.

Stir over medium heat for 3-5 minutes. Don't worry if the mixture looks like a blobby mess; it'll turn into dough...promise!

When the mixture forms a ball in the center of the pot, turn off the stove and let it cool. Then take it out of the pot and put it on a floured surface. Squish it and punch it around a bit.

When you're done, put it in a plastic bag or airtight container to store.

{This is the same recipe my Momma used when I was little}

I just love those little working hands.

I woke up this morning to some birthday presents  in bed and this mason jar measuring cup was at the top of my list. I have wanted this for a LONNNNG time. { This also proves that Mr. Moon does hear me...hehe}

How precious is this clutch?! The special service students at school have a precious little store and sell their merchandise in their classroom. I love the ruffles and burlap. It's definitely going to be a favorite for sure.

Today I am linking up with one of my favorites Ms. Andrea for some Friday favorites! Hope you have a fancy fabulous Friday.

Fancy Fall Festival

I'm a bit behind on blogging and have lots of fun projects to share. Our tiny town has the most precious little festival called the Apple Festival. It starts with a parade then everyone walks up town to see the booths and food.

Jason and I are both apple festival royalty {just 6 years apart} love my old man. : )) so it holds a special little place in my heart and honestly I think he could careless; but he might admit to enjoying some of it.

My friend Mal and I got to spend most of the day together which was so nice. It's so nice to be around a friend that you can just be. Even though we don't spend every second together she just gets ME...and loves me for ME. She's a breath of fresh air. I love that she and I are so different yet so alike. Our styles are very different but we both have a major soft spot for high quality handbags and luxurious jewls, and that's probably why we get along so well. We don't compete and have always had a very strong friendship. Like I said in my Matron of Honnor speech we will always be friends because we both know too much.

We were at the nail salon 2 weeks ago and she refused to let me leave with pink glitter nails. Haha! Everyone needs a classy friend...Mallory is still looking for her's. ; ))

So funny that Mal and Jase are always twinning and talking about cows and animal science. {You know things I can only pretend I know about}

We laughed and laughed and kept calling Jason, Cody from Sister Wives because he just carried our festival purchases.

This handsome hunny did enjoy the parade despite his silly face.

Fancy Fall Feelings Lesson

This week in Guidance class we are finishing our feelings and emotions lessons up with some fall fun. I LOVE FALL and I make it known to the kids that fall is the BEST season of all; you know except for, winter snowdays, and summer vacation. Haha!

Our school is very blessed to have a local Elks group donate materials related to the curriculum that teachers would have to spend their own money on. I knew that kids would have so much fun using pumpkins in the lesson and the Elks graciously bought enough pumpkins for the students to use. The other counselor and I see over 600 kids each week in our guidance class so we love making our lessons super exciting yet informative. I always love putting real world experience and fun in the lessons. Our class is considered an elective class so my main goal is to get the kids up and moving; because goodness gracious they deserve a little *fancy* brain break in their day to have room to stretch and explore.

Each student used a mini pumpkin, black paper, scissors, and masking tape.

I gave each student a feeling word card that I created using inexpensive note cards and then laminated them for future lessons and durability.

The students were instructed to keep quiet and not share their feeling card with anyone because at the end when everyone was done we played boys vs. girls pumpkin charades. {cue the competitive fun}

We took a class pumpkin picture. {The kids SERIOUSLY thought this was hysterical.} They thought it was extra cool that our assistant principal was even impressed with their silly creations.

A 3rd grade student had the cutest pumpkin with little heart eyes. I was *In Love* with her design.

Goodness gracious I just get tickeled when I see them.

Fancy Apple of my Eye!

Can we first start with how cute my littlest handsome is?! {He gets his good looks from his Daddy} Sidenote: 10 seconds before this he was wanting to drink out of the dog bowl and by wanting; I mean trying!!! There is nothing easy about Sunday morning.

I have been apple obsessed all weekend so he just HAD to sport his precious little apple shirt to church.

Our Amish neighbors/friends gave us a HUGE box full of organic apples so I had to get creative in order to use them all up. I've never canned but wanted to somehow use all the pretties up so I turned to crockpot applesauce that I could freeze. I did 4 different crockpots full and tried to keep it as natural/organic as possible. I did put a little brown sugar in one batch and it was GOOD!

I found these BPA free-freezer containers at Wal-Mart; definitely excited to see how they hold up.

I can not say enough good things about this mixer. I use it ALL the time and it was key to the applesauce success. I was amazed that it also caught most of the apple peelings that I had left on in a couple of the batches...Mr. Moon was happy about that!

Hope you had a fancy fabulous weekend!

Fancy Fall Happenings

Oh my goodness, how I love fall! It's my favorite season out of all the fabulous seasons. {truth be told I love all of them for different reasons} But goodness there is just something about pumpkin spice coffees, pumpkin candles, and pumpkins- period!

I have been on this crazy cleaning spree at home and I swear the fall crisp air is making me do it! At the current time my car is filled {literally} to the brim with things our little family doesn't need. I have discovered that unnecessary "stuff" stresses me out and decided a great purge was just the magic we needed. I completely believe our homes should be a haven and that's exactly what I'm setting out to do. I also tell myself that when we build we are literally starting over; nothing is making the great house switch. {and if you think I'm nuts-that's okay join Jase's club}

{I even pulled everything out of my closet to see if it would make the cut}

As I was purging my craft space I came across these precious burlap canvas' that I had purchased this summer; and completely forgotten about. I decided Cole needed a little craftivity and since I had purged most of our fall decor I knew I would definitely benefit from a timeless piece of Cole art!

Painting his little hand with a serious case of giggles was really the hardest part. We stamped his hand down and I filled in the stem/leaves after his little hand had dried.

Fancy Family Time

Last night we had a family bonfire complete with all the fixings. Oh my heavens, I just love fall and all of it's offerings...especially reasonable temps where you can actually enjoy being outside.

My brother of course couldn't sit still with the opportunity of making lots of smoke and a bigger fire.

Cole is such a wildman and of course has a story to tell all the time. He definitely gets that from his Daddy. He's so funny and has the best personality. It's amazing to me the sentences and stories he puts together.

This boy is like me when it comes to sweets. #weloveallthesweets S'mores may be my favorite food and I have one boy that definitely agrees!

The best s'more I've ever had! Ritz cracker with a peanut butter cup. My Mom is a genius. I can't even describe the yumminess!

My cousin Ryan and his lovely girlfriend Tracy. This girl is hysterical. I love her to pieces and can't wait to "buy" her at the FFA slave auction. She is going to have the best day shopping with me. : ) I'm going to turn her in to a girly girl...or try! Ryan does have all his teeth I promise! He was in the middle of his yummy s'more...can't blame him for not wanting to put it down!

My brother and his lovely bride. I still can't believe this handsome boy is married. His ultra shaggy look is for deer/duck season. Oh the joys of hunting season.

Texas Jr. was sunning on the haybales and I thought it was too precious to pass up a little picture.

Nick and Cole LOVED playing cats on the haybales. Boys are oh so fun!

This picture makes my heart smile! Two sweet boy cousins named after one great girl. I'm sure Nicole would be so proud that Nick and Cole actually played nice for once...even if it was short lived.

Happy Monday!

A Fancy Little Catch Up

Well goodness gracious we have been crazy over here with the start of school, and I've had little time to do any fun creative projects so this blog has been a little dusty...so sorry! Time to clean it off and get back on a roll again.

My super fancy sister in law sent me my FAVORITE headbands in the entire world as a fun mailbox surprise. I LOVE snail mail and it truly makes my heart skip a beat. It can also make my heart stop if Mr. Moon the financial/farming goo roo beats me to it. In that case it looks like this...BIG trouble.

That's why it's very important I get the mail before he does.{Side note: He is sooo good looking} Lucky girl right here!

Our pretty money makers have been busy birthing babies. I LOVE fall and fall baby cows are my VERY favorite!!! I told Mr. Moon they need a fancy little birthday celebration of course he told me no, but couldn't stop me from a little bit of editing.

My friend Joy is *hopefully* going to paint me a picture of one of our cows. I'm over the moon excited for one of our *Moon Farms* cows to be painted all pretty like for some kitchen decor.

I love Red Angus...but sure wish she was pink and sparkling too.

And black baldies are my very favorite and oh so pretty too; just don't tell any of the others. : ))

Happy Wednesday!!!

Fancy Summer Favorites

Today we start our first  week with the kiddies which means lots of coffee and diet coke will be rushing through my veins today. : ))

Here are a couple of my school decoration projects.

Our welcome table- all purchases were from the Dollar Tree and total it cost $10.00 and some fancy tax. The vintage chalkboard was from my friend/coworker Ms. Joy. I LOVE it!!!

I love bunting banners and purchased mine HERE. My friend/coworker Tammy told me it looks like a dream catcher. Haha, Hopefully it keeps the school year craziness at bay.

This is outside my office door. During inservice week Tammy and I put lemonade out so that teachers could stop by and get a fancy little packet of lemonade to add to their afternoon water.

...now enough school stuff; in true last day of summer fashion I wanted to share my favorite summer time pictures...

1. Our mini trip to Minneapolis

I can't handle this! I don't know whats funnier the fact that Cole is about to break free or the fact that my high fashion sister in law is wearing Crocs.

Someone loves sweets as much as me!

Cutest boy I ever did see.

And now it's back to the Monday grind! Happy Monday!
